Local designs and preferences

Patterns, colour codes, strand sequences, material measurements, notes and braiding progress are stored as local documents on your device. The app also saves its language preference. Calculation and PDF/CSV generation take place on-device. There is no developer account service, application server, external AI, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK.

Files you import or share

You can deliberately export a .kumidesign design, a .kumibackup library copy, PDF or CSV using Files or the system share sheet. You choose the destination; a cloud provider or another person you choose can receive that file. Names, notes and patterns may be readable in exports. Device backups depend on your system settings. The app does not provide its own synchronization.

Recovery and deletion

Deleting a design moves it to the local Recently deleted area, where it remains recoverable without automatic expiry. Invalid original files may also be retained so that you can recover them. Delete App removes the app’s local documents; Offload App retains its data. Manage exported copies and device or cloud backups separately. KumiDesign has no server from which to recover a lost library.

Purchases in preparation

StoreKit 2 is prepared for distribution using Apple product information, verified transactions and restoration, with no developer purchase backend. Debug development builds keep real payments disabled. The app and Full Studio non-consumable product have been submitted to Apple and are Waiting for Review, not a public release or active offer. Local StoreKit tests are not production purchases. Apple handles payments and we do not receive card details.
